CHENG-YI TONG

Cheng-Yi is a long time friend of the Shuper family, who like the Shupers, believes that education is the foundation of change and opportunity. She grew up in Malaysia in a family that sacrificed much to ensure their children received a good education. Her family believes education brings understanding and opportunity, not only for ourselves but also for humanity. Prior to joining Sprouts, Cheng-Yi was in finance at Morgan Stanley, dabbled in entrepreneurship, and in retail. She has previously served as the Treasurer for Lifeline Shanghai, an NGO in China. She calls Hong Kong home but has lived and worked in Canada, China, Hong Kong, the US, and traveled widely throughout the Asia Pacific region in previous roles. Cheng-Yi is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business at Western University in London, Canada.
